Water Quality

Water from the tap is safe to drink in Cyprus. Water pollution is very rare and every home has safe, fresh running drinking water. For the last two years, rainfall has been much lower than expected, and in some areas during the summer months water restrictions are put into place.

The Government are looking at new housing projects near the coast to be entirely self sufficient in their water requirements by introducing mini salination plants.
